Ofori-Okonah Elias Kofi is the Branch Manager of Anum Community Bank PLC, Peki Branch, Avetile. He is a young professional, a game changer, result oriented, award winning recipient and astute proficient practicing banker with 20 years of experience and knowledge in the fields of accounting and banking, finance and investment, leadership and administration, credit management and managerial report writing who with relentless perseverance leverage on his resourceful prowess transformed a non-profit-making and ill-growing Branch into a perpetual and progressively growing sustainable profit-making enterprise to run self-financed operations to end 17 YEARS of drought performance which won him the maiden Best Branch Manager Award, 2025. Kofi holds Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from University of Ghana Business School, Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) Degree from University of Cape Coast, and Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting from Koforidua Polytechnic, now Koforidua Technical University. Before joining the banking industry, Ofori-Okonah worked with Akyem Tafo Government Hospital and Ghana Cocoa Board (Quality Control Division) as account officer, where he gained appreciable experience in accounting and financial administration. Also, at Anum Community Bank PLC, he worked as Accounts Clerk, Front Desk Officer, Teller, and held several key positions including Head of Central Accounts, Branch Accountant, Branch Credit Officer, Branch Manager, and Deputy Credit & Investment Manager at Head Office. Over the years, Ofori-Okonah has acquired worth of varied experience and knowledge in Strategic Planning Formulation, Annual Budget Preparation, Periodic Returns Preparation, Aggressive Deposit Mobilization, Financial Management, Outreach Education, Credit and Investment Portfolio Management, Treasury and Cash Management, Human Resources Capital Management and Succession Plan, Sales and Marketing of products, and Customer Relationship Management. Elias provides consultancy and training services on investment and financial management, business operation, credit advisory, leadership and administration, develop policies and business operational manual for Entrepreneur, Churches, Associations and Individuals. He speaks at school campuses and institutional gatherings on financial literacy education; wealth creation, financial management and investment, and train interested parties on how to keep proper books of accounts. Beyond the professional career, Ofori-Okonah is a staunch member of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana who actively served at various capacities and courts of the Church including; Chairman of the Volta Presbytery Committee on Accounts and Budget as well as a member of the Church’s National Committee on Accounts and Budget, District Treasurer, Presbytery Youth Financial Secretary and Treasurer where he administered accountable financial management and provide advisory services. Elias was a Student Representative Council and Presby – Methodist Students’ Union Chief Internal Auditor as well a member of APHAS Finance Committee at Koforidua Polytechnic (Koforidua Technical University).
